What is Severs Disease?

Severs disease is a well known and common problem of the childs foot that affects children (mostly boys) from the ages of 10 to 15 years. It is a common overuse type injury due to overload of the heel. It is more common in more active child. Calcaneal apophysitis is the name for this condition used by health professionals. Pain is more commonly felt at the back and sides of the heel.
