What is the Cluffy Wedge?

The Cluffy wedge is an add-on to the end of a foot orthotic or a separate insert into a shoe that aims to elevate the hallux. The cluffy wedge was originally designed for functional hallux limitus, but is also being used for those with a delayed onset to the windlass mechanism. See these videos on the cluffy wedge. The only problem with the Cluffy Wedge, is that if the shoe toe box is not deep enough it can cause some trauma to the big toe nail. In these case a heel raise can sometimes be used
