Severs Disease

Severs Disease is a problem with the growth area at the back of the heel in children. The heel bone has two centres of growth separated by a thin plate of cartilage. It is at this area of cartilage that growth occurs. Severs disease is thought to be a strain of that growth plate. Some liken Severs disease to being like a stress fracture.
